In the shop we now have the new Titleist AP1 and AP2 irons for sale. These are the latest in the most successful and consistent line of Irons that Titleist have produced and the new edition are no different. 

At first glance the 716 iron looks very similar to the first edition AP2 from nearly 10 years ago, which is why Titleist can be an iron to be confident in when buying. The improvements in performance and distance however without losing the traditional look and feel are amazing and need to be tried to be believed. These clubs are designed for the tour player all the way through to the 28 handicap player so come in and have a look and try. We have two sets in stock that will be at an initial reduced price that will not be matched anywhere online or in store. 

We are fully stocked with new ProQuip winter suits in a variety of colours and sizes. In the coming week we will be stocking a winter range of Ashworth clothing along with a special offer on a new Ashworth shoe Pre-Christmas. There will also be a full stock of winter hats and gloves to keep you all warm this winter, although it is still very mild outside. There are great offers on the end of season stock with a few really nice pieces of FootJoy and Under Armour clothing available. We have a full range of Galvin Green warm wear layering items in shop which has been proven among the members to be the best defence against wind and cold over the past few years. 

In 2016 we will be changing our entire club range and moving forward with new club jumpers available from Callaway, Ashworth and Glenbrae. Glenmuir has been the stock items for the past 10 years and I feel that it is time to move on and offer a new product. We have a very good stock of club jumpers for men and ladies in stock that I will be clearing out this side of Christmas. There are also some excellent new club wear products with quarter zip and merino jumpers in stock.

 

We are now well into our Pre-Christmas golf calendar with a shortened course and winter conditions. Next year is a very important year for the club with us hosting the Irish Amateur Senior Open in May and a lot of focus going into that event. Over the coming months the course will be protected for winter play and it is important as a member that the responsibility for this is taken very seriously. The ground staff are working hard to keep the course as playable as possible over the winter time and they need your help to follow the signage and avoid areas that are damaged and wet. 

We can all be guilty of taking shortcuts on the course, pulling trollies under ropes, driving buggies up to greens, not raking bunkers etc but in the end we all suffer for this. This is your golf course, so look after it this winter and next summer you will feel and see the benefits of taking care at this time of the year.
