What's in-store
In the shop at this moment we are clearing through on current products even though a lot of it carries into 2019. We have a great deal on G400 Max drivers in stock at a one off price of €290.00. The G400 range has been huge for PING and a real cornerstone of the market for the past 20 months with its reputation growing with every player that puts it in the bag. Yes there is a new one just around the corner, but any changes will be very slight as it will be almost impossible to improve what is on offer. There are many players that have yet to upgrade from the previous G driver and any one swinging G400 will find it very hard to move away. As said before a really big player this year will be Callaway golf as they are doing the most sensible thing by keeping their really popular driver Rogue in the market at a reduced price. This club was retailing at €499 and we will be selling it in 2019 for €379 which you will not see anywhere else. This is so much club for the price and we have been told that this driver will one of their flagship models for at least another 12 months and could extend to the end of 2020 just like the last series on Apex irons that have lasted over 3 years. There will be a new set this spring that we will be custom fitting for from the start of February. TaylorMade have moved to M5 and M6 as an offering that will be as quality as ever but also beginning to get a little bit repetitive. It would be great to see a company like this hold their product for 2 years, but that is the nature of the modern golf environment. Titleist have already launched their new TS2 and TS3 range and is fully available for trial in the shop. From next week we will have a full range of Vokey back into stock for the coming season so please look at this area of the game as it is so important to get right. Retail on the new SM7 wedge is €169 euro and as an opener to the 2019 season I will be offering two wedges for €230.00. This offer can’t last as it is stock related but is well worth looking at, but ask our opinion on what is best, there is so much involved in wedge play that sometimes we just ignore. It’s the same for putting and this year we will really be getting behind short game offers and holding a real quality stock of all that is needed around the green. Sometimes it can just be a lesson so don’t forget about those.
