Does your short game get ignored? How many of us pay enough attention to the wedge and putter that we are using in the bag? What sort of putting stroke do we have? What angle of attack do we use for our wedge shots, do we shaft lean or use the bounce, what loft do we use in the bunkers etc.? These are all questions that we don’t ask ourselves against the equipment that we use. We are getting better and more knowledgeable, but can get it the wrong way around very easily and wonder why we are not getting the shot shape that is required. With the right equipment comes the right shot then confidence, then lower scores, it’s a simple equation. Check into the shop to ask if you are using the right clubs for the shot you are trying to play and we can fit you accordingly. Putting is another area that is neglected too often with putters that are designed to either go straight back and straight through or designed to rotate through the hitting zone. This can be the simple reason why putts are missed, over-hit and confidence drops very quickly on the green. A proper quick analysis of how you put can match up the right sort of head for you to use. It is a common saying that putting comes down to you liking the look of what you are using, but there is so much more to it than that and even though you love the look of a putter, it simply could be the cause of those missed shots and drop in confidence. If you love the putter you are using but can’t hole any putts then maybe you need a quick lesson or tip to allow the putter to work. They all deigned for certain strokes and a simple change in method can make a putter work, if you are open to change. Click here to request a lesson or fitting. |
