Shop news

New Arrivals

Easter is over and now we are right on top of the season. The last week or so has been a bit hectic in the shop with the new stock arriving in preparation for the sub to pop its head out. We have a full range of new t-shirts and golf wear for the season ahead many with crest and many without.

If there is a product in the shop that you may need crested just ask and we will get it done, roughly about two weeks would be the lead time. I would just like to mention that, as I am sure you are all aware now, Dan has started in the shop. Myself, Aaron, Pat and Dan will try our best to look after all your golfing needs this summer as best we can, so if there is anything that you need that we just don't have, we will get it if possible, although sometimes certain things are just out of our reach, we do try though.

We have had some stunning offers in the shop lately and are continuing to move through on these going forward. We have two Motocaddy S1 lithium trollies available at a season starting price of €500. When these two go the price will be back up to the normal retail of around €599 so if you are thinking of a new trolley don't miss out. We are also now stocking Golf Glider products and will be retailing the golf glider with a lithium battery for €520. These trollies for years have been the bedrock of reliability, they look a bit outdated, but as the company will tell you they work so why change it.

There is a now a full range of cart bags from PING, Motocaddy, Callaway, mizuno in the shop and although the bag trade in has finished we will still be looking to do great deals on these bags.

Putters are always a real personal choice, and we have some amount of choice now in the shop. The new range from both Oddessey and Ping are available for trial on the green and on the course. It is an area of the game that we really do not spend enough time on and shy away from change.

Customers at time have no problem buying and trading the big ammunition from the tee box but pay little attention to the most used club in the bag, without exception. 70% of golf is played from inside 100 yards for all categories of players and at least 40% of this is on the green. Our drivers are maybe only used a max of 14-15 times a round and you might play for a month and never hit a certain iron. We all look for the big result from a new driver or irons but maybe we should all start looking for the important part as well.

Having said that if you cant get off the tee you cant paly golf so still keep buying those drivers. On the lessons we have a full program in operation from next week. Our junior lessons will continue between 5.30 and 6.30 on Tuesday. On Thursday we will be the same between 5.30 and 6.30 as well as another session from 6.30 to 7.30. This time has always been more popular with the slightly older juniors and will probably be the same again this year. There will still have the normal session on Saturday between 1 and 2pm The ladies lessons will be as normal at 11am on Tuesday and we will also be introducing an evening lesson on Wednesday at 7pm for an hour if any ladies that cant make Tuesday wish to come along. Next week will be focusing on chipping and putting on the main green and chipping green.
