Greetings golfers, 

Firstly I would like to congratulate the guys that played last week in the East of Ireland championship at Co. Louth. The weather was great and so was the scoring in near perfect conditions. Four of our members made the 36 hole cut that fell at +2 for the first 36 holes. Robbie Cannon came top of the members playing, returning -9 for the 4 rounds and placing third in the overall competition. Evan in the shop had an excellent last day shooting -7 for his last two rounds to finish the tournament at -5 in 7th place, I know he is not a member but we are working on it. David Foy finished on level, Eugene Smith on +1 and Thomas Mulligan on +5. The players are now getting ready for the Senior Cup being hosted at the same venue in a few weeks and this could be an excellent chance for the club to progress into the later stages of Ireland's flagship event for club golfers. All support will most definitely be welcome so please pencil in the weekend of 25/26 June.

With the summer now right on top of us the shop is in full flow and we will be offering some fantastic deals on all hardware that is in stock at present. We have all the latest equipment from PING, Callaway, TaylorMade and Titleist which I will be looking to move out of the shop at prices not to be beaten anywhere. I know it is hard to believe but we are already looking towards the Autumn/Winter in the Pro Shop that will be our first real planned stock of the new shop. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see in the shop coming into the colder months please come in and tell us, as we do like to be lead in certain ways at times.

Promotions for this weekend will be on TaylorMade tour balls as well as Bridgestone. We will be offering two dozen of either of these balls or you can mix and match them for €65….only until the current stock is sold through. These balls are meant to retail at €50-€55 a dozen and are the very latest ball on the market for 2016 from these companies. Outside of Titleist's premium product, Pro V1, there is excellent choice and playability in two balls that go a little unnoticed on the shelf. The Velocity and the new DT Truesoft are giving the quality and performance that you would expect for the company but at prices that you would not. Both balls wile stocks last will be offered at 2 dozen for €50.

This month only buy a full price T-Shirt from Callaway, Under Armour or FootJoy and we will be giving away a cap worth €25 from the same company. The caps s we said before is probably the most important piece of equipment that you will purchase this summer especially if the sun keeps popping its head out.

 

Rule 6-7 Undue Delay; Slow Play. 

The player must play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines that the Committee may establish. Between completion of a hole and playing from the next teeing ground, the player must not unduly delay play. Members play your part in making the game of golf an enjoyable experience.

Time of Presentation to be confirmed as soon as possible after the competitions. Prize winners are expected to attend Prize Presentations as a courtesy to our officers, Sponsors and Members whose generosity is much appreciated. If players are unable to be present to receive their prizes they should nominate another person to collect their prizes on their behalf.
