In the shop this weekend we have a supply of full mercerised cotton T-shirts, club crested, in a variety of colours ready for the warm weather ahead of us. These would normally be €60 each but will be doing an early season special at €40 each or two for €60. We only have a short supply of these in all sizes for men and ladies so come in and get a couple before they all sell through.
With the weather starting to pick up don't forget to equip yourself with the right golf gear for the months ahead. The greens and fairways are getting firmer so make sure you have the right ball to cope with these conditions. Over the past few seasons there have been many balls supplied to the market to bridge the gap between the tour ball and the traditional distance balls. There are great selections now so why not try the new Titleist Trusoft, Callaway Supersoft or TaylorMade Burner soft balls all available in shop at present. These balls will give the feel of the tour ball to a slower swinging player without sacrificing the distance of the tee. Great properties to have, and at almost 50% less of a cost that the premium tour balls.
We will be having a clearance of winter products over the weekend as well as last season stock in both shoes and outerwear as we make way for the summer stock that will be landing in next few weeks. There will be a selection of chill out tops, fleeces, waterproofs and much more at reduced to clear prices.
Next Friday 13th May will be the first 9 hole social golf outing of the year so make sure you come down to the club and support all that is going on. This is a great opportunity for a bit of fun, exercise and competition at the end of a busy week without taking up too much time. On Fridays from now on during the season the course will be set up to accommodate this outing so please check in before you head to the first tee so that there is no confusion on the course.
Congratulations go to the Fred Daly last weekend who beat Dundalk Golf Club in the regional final to progress to the Leinster finals with a resounding victory. The team have worked hard over the winter to prepare for this, hopefully they can go much further in the competition. This weekend sees the Ladies Senior Cup in action at Woodbrook, first match against Skerries Golf Club at 11am, so if you get a chance down there to support the team as this will really be appreciated.
Junior lessons have started this week with a large turnout. We will be mailing all that attended this week on Sunday morning with next weeks schedule so if you want to be included in this email and were not there this week call the shop to get it added to our list of contacts. The ladies in golf start on Monday night and registration is still available through the office.
