Greetings golfers,
It's now the Last week before Christmas. The shop is full with all sorts of great gift ideas for all golfers. From simple vouchers for lessons and shop stock, to waterproofs and outerwear, electric trollies and the very latest drivers, fairways and sets of irons. We have some great deals on GPS units which is a must for any serious golfer these days.
The weather has not been great for the last few months and the course has taken a bit of a battering, as every course has, but hopefully the weather will pick up and we will have some great golf over Christmas period. It is important at this time of the year to make sure that you enjoy your golf and keep dry and warm. On this we have some excellent products to keep you warm and dry from winter mittens, bobble hats, winter pairs of gloves and excellent waterproofs. These would all make the best of gifts for any golfer who at this time of the year would really appreciate it.
Anyone who ordered the logo balls from Titleist the balls are now in stock, so come on in and get them.
We are open till at least 5pm every night between now and Christmas and if you are running late or need us to stay a bit later one night just give the shop a call and we will accommodate you on this.
There are plenty of events to take a look at over the Christmas period. I know it will probably not be top of priority but there is still an Open Singles competition on Christmas Eve. Over the Christmas weekend we have our Singles on Saturday 26th, and then we have a shotgun start 4 person team event at 10am on Sunday 27th for which the time sheet is filling up really quickly. On the 27th we also have a singles competition open to men and ladies so get out and blow of the cobwebs after your Christmas dinner.
Next year as we have said will be an important year for the club with the hosting of the Irish Senior Amateur Open, which will hopefully showcase what a fabulous facility we have here at Ardee. Please keep this in mind when on the course over the next few months and take care in all that you do out there. With the way the weather has been the course staff have really had to work hard just to keep the course open for play, so all ropes and areas of repair and GUR are there for a reason. Please respect them at all times and we will see the benefit during the season ahead.
We in the shop and club would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and come down to the club and enjoy your Christmas. It is the members that make this club the place that it is so enjoy it, you have once again really supported our business during the year and thank you once again.
